Special Thanks To All Our Support
Joey's Toy Box would like to extend a special "thanks" to some important people who have been there to help and support us.Fayette County Sheriff's Office
Thank You!!! Our friends at Fayette County SO will once again join us at Joey's Ride. They have been with us since the very first charity ride, and have graciously offered their support again this year. To all our Fayette County friends, thanks for keeping our community safe and thanks again for being Team Joey members!
David Wilhelm Foundation and Special Olympics of Georgia
A sincere thanks to both incredible organizations for including Joey's Toy Box as a beneficiary of the 2011 David G. Wilhelm Charity Golf Tournament. And thanks to our brothers & sisters at DHS/HSI SAC/Atlanta for organizing the event and for the amazing contribution. As I personally remember the many meaningful conversations I had with Dave before his passing, my sincere admiration goes out to his family and his legacy. -TD
The Blue Knights
Thanks to all of the Blue Knights for their donations and charitable participation with the Toy Box. Since Joey's 1st Ride, the incredible members of the Blue Knights, Chapter VII have supported us. Most importantly, they have supported the kids at the AFLAC Cancer Centers and the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta! Our foundation can only succeed with sponsorship from the community and from compassionate organizations like the Blue Knights. Please visit www.blueknightsgavii.org for more information about the Atlanta area local chapter of the Blue Knights. This is a group of amazing people from law enforcement that share a passion for riding and an even bigger passion for helping kids and their community.
White Oak Elementary School (Joey's school)
Thanks to everyone for your continued support and genuine concern. And thank you so much for honoring Joey by the creation of the "Joey Award". We can't express what that means to our family. Thank you.

Dear Friends of Joey,
Another year,...
It's been 3 years now since Joey's passing. It's still hard to believe that our boy who was so full of life and love could actually be gone. Everywhere we turn, each and every day, we are embraced, and sometimes confronted, by his memory. For nine years, we had basically lived our lives around his. I think we always knew throughout that incredible journey that one day we may have to deal with this separation. That day found us on July 4, 2008. At just after 2:00 a.m., while being held in his mother's arms for one final comforting moment, Joey slipped away from us and our physical world to find his new life. And since that exact moment in time, we have continued to struggle without him. We share this with you all because we know that Joey touched many more lives than just our own. And we know that his loss has been felt by so many others. And we want to sincerely thank all of our family and friends that have helped us during these extremely difficult times. We couldn't have gotten this far without you. And most of all, thank you for keeping Joey's mission alive by supporting this foundation. In Joey's final days, when he was the most sick and in the most pain, he demonstrated what it meant to live a full life by showing compassion for the other kids "like him" instead of himself.
Thank you all and God Bless,
Joey's dad
