Dear Friends of Joey,
With heavy hearts, we pass along the following.
At just after 2:00 a.m. on July 4, 2008, Joey passed away after a 9 year battle against cancer. We loved and still love Joey. Our lives have been changed forever. And Joey touched so many others that it would be impossible to name them all. Joey passed away in very familiar surroundings, that is in the arms of his mother. Kim held Joey close to her in the final moments, and as he took his last few breaths, he snuggled in even closer to her. Joey was not in any pain, and instead slipped away in the comfort of his mother's love.
Thank you all again for your kindness and support. After reading this, I urge you to hug your kids, parents, friends,... And tell them you love them.
